albums
This is a list of albums that I would tell everyone to listen to if they want to be emotionally sledgehammered by some music (happy/sad/uplifting/devastating/whatever - I think music elliciting any reaction is a positive experience). I am curious to see if they end up being my favourite albums - I think Green Day won't be there as they do emotion-

Dunno, they were always there in my mind when I was doing this, but I was knackered and originally I was just going to list the albums, then I started writing stuff and it became too difficult for my state of semi-consciousness (as you can see by my lazy-arsed Verve one)...
I guess Mellon Collie should be there, but I wasn't sure really what to say about it as it's such a mission to listen to in one go, and emotionally it's a bit all over the place (which is tbf why I like it) and I wasn't really sure how to describe how someone would feel after listening to all of it - I think it would be a different experience for everyone as people would latch onto different bits... I'm not even sure if I could describe how I feel after it. It's certainly provking and the light and shade of the emotions (lurching from one perfect extreme to the other in an instant) is certainly an engrossing, amazing experience.
Perhaps I'll stick it on and refer people to this.
ALSO - people - I would love to have additions with reviews of albums you would similarly reccommend!
