any roboticists or cyberpunkish artists out there?

Hey,

My name is Genevieve, I'm organizing something called "Cyberpunk Cabaret Museum" (CCM) to happen in either NYC or NJ (the person who co-manages my band is still getting the venue details).

We'd like to get a whole bunch of people with futuristic or dreamscape art/sculpture/robots/light-arrays/whatever to show off their work there. From what I saw when I was at CPW some years ago, MIT is a good place to find awesome weird artistic inventor folks..

This is a show. It is technically a concert of a band called Psyche Corporation, but Psyche Corp. shows are not quite your normal type of concert.

Psyche Corporation is named after a dream manufacture corporation from the future, where neural implants allow people to download dreams from the internet. The CCM will involve a sort of rotation. Psyche Corp. will be performing songs with dancers/street-performers with artwork/inventions displayed on stage sort of like set pieces, but the songs are interspersed with artists/inventors coming up and talking about their work, and street performers (Mimes, that sort of thing) doing strange little scenes in between songs. If you have your own interpretation of Cyberpunk Cabaret Museum, that is encouraged! If you just want to be involved somehow and want suggestions, I can give suggestions! Trala.

Hoping to do this in two shows, one on some weekend in mid to late November, another in December. Exact time will be strongly influenced by when the most artists/dancers/etc can make it to NYC/NJ. In many cases we will make every effort to help with transportation.

Thanks for your time! Please pass this along to folks you know!
