Do cats bite?

That's the most discussed issue at home these days.

Our cat, Yue, is six months old, and much wilder than other cats. At least that's what we think, because we've never had other cats.

But Yue bites. Quite hard, sometimes. Today she climbed on my legs to get to the computer, and then she sort of slipped (or I moved, hehehe) and before she fell off I grabbed her and put her on the floor. Angry and scared, she turned and bit me on the wrist, so hard she left a mark.

Yesterday night, she looked at me with large, staring eyes and pounced. It gave me a scare, and she did it twice.

Even in her affections Yue hurts us. She has this sort of "regressions" into babyhood where she climbs on you, purring, and moving her front paws in a rhythm, as if she were milking her mother. Sometimes she bites your clothes and pulls. She closes her eyes. And she always digs her claws into your skin.

Maybe it's because my sister used to play mock-fights with her when she was a baby. Or, I don't know, it could be the normal predator instinct of cats. I really don't know.
