I'm reading an article called "Jefferson's Declaration of Independence in the Spanish Political Tradition". I'm supposed to write a one-page comment on it.
It's an idiotic, incoherent blabbering about politics and translation. The author doesn't even seem to have a thesis. He just blabbers. And anyway, whoever can possibly be interested in the way the Declaration of Independence and American political ideas have influenced or been represented in Spain? Outside of Spain, I mean? (Inside Spain there is interest- namely, the author. And, er, perhaps the teacher that set us to read this ... text.)
