Wrote the Pyg overture reduction today. It is done and I am happy.

Also, this, which is DECIDEDLY NOT WORKSAFE:

well, very well written
I like the ending best, because honestly gizel was annoying the crap out of me in this. I haven't wanted to slap a fictional character so much in a long time ^^
I'm very glad sialeeds doesn't put up with his crap.

I kind of see the three pieces together as the transition for Gizel--from the "nice boy" that Sialeeds remembers to, well. Mr. Half-cocked Schemer.

Okay yes he was a jackass but this was so good. This is everything I love about them and everything that exasperates me about them and oh man I want to write Suikoden again. The way they couldn't come to an understanding about words and the way he doesn't know how to stop playing games and the things he just doesn't understand, damn him--I could start quoting my favorites lines but I'd never stop. Part 1 of this was actually the first thing of yours I ever read, and it certainly put you on the map for me, but this is far and away my favorite part of the three.
This is a great example of why every time I try to be open-minded and pair them with other people, just to see, it just doesn't happen.

What I get from this is: they have learned very different things from this game. And they both think -- at the beginning of this, at least -- that they've learned how to win, except for Sialeeds, winning is not playing the game and for Gizel, winning is, well. Winning.
He is such an asshole in this. (Also sexy as hell, but that doesn't detract from the essential assholery.) That's one of the reasons it /works/ so well.
What you learn from one another. The disconnect in that. I really like it.
