It occurs to me at work that I've not yet seen a "Madness? THIS. IS. LANDIS." joke yet.

Only because all the Madness is pretty inherent to Archadia? (Centuries of inbreeding will do that to a society, you know.)

I'm just going out on a limb here.

Indeed. I mean, they doll up their commanders as metal-ensconced sex symbols.

I have not yet seen the movie, but oh man, there's this comic I want to find
It's like, some poor lost guy and er, the Sparta guy, who's all "Madness? No, this is Sparta. Head East to find Madness"

The beautiful thing about the internet is you don't even have to SEE the thing in question to have the catchphrase POUNDED INTO YOUR SOUL

Precisely. I've not seen the thing either. Not sure I need to. Like Snakes on a Plane. I shoudn't have gone to see Snakes on a Plane. I would have understood it without seeing it.

ah, was it bad?
It has a number of things I enjoy: Snakes. Samuel Jackson. Absolutely ridiculous concept.

but there is the chance that it could just be awful, along with that ridiculous concept, and that keeps me from seeing it. I hear they have snakes sort of...vengefully and maliciously hunting down humans. And that's just silly

Silly and squicky and manipulative and pandering and oversexed and just plain overdone.
