I finished reading the TPB of Final Crisis recently in preparation for Return of Bruce Wayne. It's got its pros and its cons. Yeah, I hadn't read any of those, so I think my brain was still fresh enough to tackle this messy crossover. I do wish DC would keep their crossovers a little more...crisp? But I read Crisis on Infinite Earths and that's a pretty crazy hot mess too, so apparently it's not a new thing, lol.
Also, uh...I'm lazy, so I just say "Okay, stuff I don't get coming down! I'll look it up in Wikipedia later if it's important!"
The Nazi Superman was a really sad character, I agree! I would have liked to see more of him and his story--that's one of the things that must have been in a tie-in somewhere, we see him talking about looking for his cousin, and then Renee Montoya's like "Um, by the way, I knew your cousin, she's dead," and he's crying over her body. It's like this weird strobe-light effect where we only get tantalizing glimpses of a story that MAY OR MAY NOT exist out there somewhere.

Black Adam in 52 is a really good version of him, I think. He's one of those villains who can be a lot of fun, and I liked his getting involved in FC. Oh, and Sivana and Luthor's scenes cracked me up! I really liked them there...
