Oh my god. SO MUCH LOVE. I've only had time to skim most of it so far (stupid work!) but this is amazing. Thank you so much for putting this together, I can't wait to read the whole thing!

I had so much fun putting it together! It was really thrilling to see certain dates turn out to be key, and certain events match up in interesting ways, and the whole thing to have a sort of narrative sweep (I had always kind of assumed it was mostly just random, but there really is a progression to it all!)

Now I'm dying to get to work on the more recent scans--there are a LOT in the last decade, probably more than all the other time periods combined!

Having kinda mainlined the whole thing... I applaud your diligence in putting this together... and FOUR YEARS AND TWO MONTHS? WHAT THE HELL?... That being said... You? Awesome. ... Not that I didn't know that already, but y'know.

FOUR YEARS AND TWO MONTHS. *sobs a little* I'm kind of hoping some canonista will turn up that will find some interaction between those events, just because it's so sad to contemplate! But can you imagine? That would be like...if Clark and Bruce didn't speak again until 2014! And even now they're still "talking" in canon, because the Superman/Batman title is coming out and they're interacting in it (well, those are flashbacks now, but we're still getting monthly doses of S/B despite Bruce being gone).

I am off to see if I can start summarizing 2000-2010! Ah, wonderful, crazy years...

... And didn't talk again until I was in high school.

ISN'T IT? I had always boggled at people who just didn't see the Clark/Bruce love...but I suspect that maybe if your first experiences with comics canon were during the early to mid 90s you would simply not have any foundation for it at all. They barely even exist in the same world for most of the decade...

Take your time and enjoy! I think my favorite part is actually the very first one--I had seen scans of the incredibly slashy World's Finest title, but I had no idea that almost all of those moments were part of one coherent storyline. That somehow makes it even more awesome. :)

I knew about the slashy World's Finest title(A Kryll Way of Dying) but I didn't realize an actual coherent storyline was involved lol. And OMG the slashiness of it and how intense Clark is XDDDDDD. And I think the lady villain had my name. Which made me giggle some more.
The awesome slashiness of those times! Makes me depressed thinking about the Strangers period of their relationship(only twice in six years??? DX).

Imagine my delight when I was like, "Wait a minute...those scans I've seen of them flying around and drinking coffee and spending the night together...they're all from one story arc??" *starry eyes* It all feels so very fated. :)

Okay. Just finished reading everything (weekend be damned) and I have to appluad you for all the time and effort that must have gone into something this comprehensive and detailed. This is going to be such a huge help when I finally get my act together and start writing fanfiction for the two of them!

What really boggles my mind is that you actually managed to read all the older issues. I've tried getting my hands on scans of them, but no luck. You wouldn't happen to have download links, would you?

I'm glad you liked it! And I got so much inspiration for fic while going through these, I was hoping there would be enough to share around! :D

With a lot of older issues, I did cheat a bit, in that I didn't read ALL of the World's Finest run, for example. Over time I've seen people refer to certain storylines and issue names, so it made it easier to narrow down the hunt a bit. Also, there's a web page out there with a list of every comics issue Batman has appeared in ever, which was overwhelming, but a decent way to check whether or not I had to wade through six years of dreadful 90s Superman comics on the slim chance Bruce might be there...
