I blame credit the hugging issue entirely on arch_schatten! We got talking about huggy reunions and she was very sad at the idea that Clark might fail in his responsibility to hug Batman, so hugs had to get in somehow! Bruce kind of cracked me up there, whenever I wanted to write him as actually being angry he insisted on grinning a little, and then when I wanted to write him joking he got serious and pointed out that no, really, he wanted the damn hugs. Bruce, Bruce...

Lovely and evocative as always, mithen! I'm definitely looking forward to the second half. I must admit that I'm particularly curious about this bit: "This is all history, Clark. At some point in Srataanian development, the amri evolved into the amri-je and became priest-warriors instead, so obviously something happened to change their status naturally. We shouldn't interfere."
