whoa! this reads like that book of Innu legends that I had when I was young. Awesome! You did remarkably well turning them into actually *believable* icehounds.

and awww! the ending. <3 *happy sigh*

Great work!!

Thanks! It was fun to try and capture the sense of language they had without it quite being telepathy. :)

Beautiful, Mithen! :)

This really stood out:

"It looked a lot more dangerous than beautiful to me," Bruce growled as they climbed back into the sleigh, the pack animal placated.

"I don't find the two concepts mutually exclusive," Clark noted blandly. Nuktok whistled sharply and the sleigh began to glide across the snow again, saving Bruce from having to respond.

:)

You described the icehounds' senses very well.

I liked the echo of their Pack life:

Clark looked at him, his eyes a bit wide. Very slowly, he leaned forward...and nipped at Bruce's neck.

It was a clear and deliberate provocation, and Bruce had no choice but to respond.

Bruce would always be called to the Hunt!

And I like the lingering effects, with Bruce calling Clark his mate and the two of them thinking like Pack.

Clark is amazing, isn't he? He lives with that sense of smell all the time.

Bruce liking the life of an icehound doesn't surprise me. :)

Hee! This was wonderful! I liked the left-over vestiges of how they learned to interact as Icehounds, and just as much I love how Bruce is still Bruce, still Batman, no matter where he is or what he looks like. Pragmatic, driven, the voice of reason to Clark's passionate exuberance.

I also love how this brought out Bruce's playful side, and how he got an unexpected glimpse into Clark's sensory life. But mostly I loved the "Pack" concept. *sigh* ::snuggles story::

It was kind of fun to imagine how they'd translate their personalities into canine versions, with Bruce being, well, dogged, and Clark getting all the live-for-now passion. :) And Clark and Bruce being a Pack filled me with glee. Glad you enjoyed!

Awww, sweet and action-packed and just a tad sexy. You have a habit of turning the boys into purple critters. :D I really loved the way you incorporated their wolf senses into their personalities.

*coughs and blushes* I do! It's the most clearly alien color to color an animal, plus it has all those royal connotations. :) It was so much fun to write the way scent worked with the transformation, I'm glad you liked the results!

EEEEEEE--- Love it!! XD
I'm sure Bruce and Clark would look so proud in their wolf-like form.
I also love every part of descriptions here. Your choice of words is simple yet amazing in itself. Very beautiful and...and.. I don't know which words to use. It's just simply beautiful, dear.
Thank you so much for sharing this. It really brighten up my day.

Aw, thanks! I haven't had time to officially comment on your art yet, but I squeed like crazy when I saw it! Gorgeous! It's apparently a dog-centered WFGE day. :)

This was truely amazing. How you kept them true to their personalities despite their shape. Bruce, all guard-dog hunter and Clark all dedicated-puppy hunter. Your descriptions of Pack mentality took me back to Elfquest and something else I read concerning werewolfs and how they incorporated canine pack into a humanistic society (I know I'll remember this sometime around 3am) That unspoken communication, the "we" mentality. Their Howl was perfect. I better loved how their experience bled into their life and love
Thank you for sharing this wonderful story

It was a lot of fun to translate their personalities into doggish terms! I've never been into werewolf fic, but I can definitely see the appeal of it through this, you know? It's really interesting... Thanks so much for the comment!
