Ahem. In case you couldn't tell, I really loved this chapter. Clark's talk with Josefina was beautiful and perfect. And Leslie just giving him the address. Heee! AND ALFRED! Just seeing his face and letting him in. *flails moar* YESYESYESYES!

Leslie and Alfred are tough gatekeepers, heh heh.
The Manor often comes across as a fairytale castle, doesn't it? ;)
Clark has his new name, courtesy of Josefina! Loved how he stayed in sort-of character there. ;)

Absolutely! It's kind of startling how well it works...
And it tickled me that Clark decided to stay more-or-less in character while talking with Josefina, lol. That can be difficult for heels sometimes!

The grimy tenements, the walls scrawled with graffiti, the broken windows: this was exactly the kind of neighborhood he had imagined Bruce growing up in. He looked around, wondering which of these dusty windows had framed the sky for a young boy dreaming of a different life.
Oh, Clark... *pets him*
“I think wrestling gives us a chance to dream big dreams. Really big dreams, the kind you know are unrealistic. And sometimes those dreams are stupid, it’s true. There’s nothing too subtle about a dream of throwing a bully through a table, or getting revenge on people who laughed at you and made you feel bad. But in wrestling we dress those dreams up and make them huge and glittery and gorgeous, and we let everyone dream them together.”
Clark! *hearts him*
“Great scott, that’s incredible,” he said. “Look at that. That’s something that didn’t exist in the whole universe until you made it real with nothing but your mind and your pencil. Or how about your mother? How she fought off that ( ... )

You and me both!
Eeeee, Clark! *hearts him again* Also, he said "great scott"! :D
Muahaha! I couldn't resist, it's so wonderfully archaic...
Ahhh, I'm just in love with that image!
It's so weird to write a Clark with no superpowers! Part of me was like, "Just fly over the fence, Clark!" So it was kind of hilarious to imagine Superman scrambling nervously up over a fence...
I'm hoping to have more Alfred soon! Clark deserves to have rather a long chat with him in some ways...

Awwww, thank you! It was kind of hard to write, just because it's so much stuff Clark hasn't LET himself think about much and he's still figuring it out as he goes...
*flails again* Oh, oh, I REALLY can not wait to see what happens next, just Bruce and Clark and Clark FINALLY knowing and-!
It's so strange to write! But really wonderful! I'm actually about to go get lunch and have put aside about 45 minutes between lunch and my first meeting of the day to write a little more, lol...it's so different and I love it!
Thank you for the wonderful comment, Star! It's always a thrill to wake up in the morning and see your feedback...
