Oh man. Oh, MAN.

Now I'm picturing Joker as being like Matt Borne's original version of the Doink gimmick, the terrifying, psychotic heel clown that was, in many ways, inspired by the '89 version of the Joker. This is BRILLIANT; sometimes, what you want to be isn't what you're best at in the business. And since Joker *is*, at heart, a comedian with a very dark, twisted, and sick sense of humor (one that we don't want to admit to laughing at!), it's perfect for him.

Lex's response to Jack going into business for himself is damn near pitch-perfect, too. Shut him up and get him off-stage *now*, then find a way to punish him. It's usually difficult to play off a shoot in a way that salvages something, but this looks to be a way to do it.

And poor Jean-Paul. Someone needs to remind him that it's better to work a little too snug, a little too stiff, and leave someone black and blue but have it LOOK good, rather than work as loose as Hogan did, and never injure anyone, but to show about three feet of light on every shot, too. Long as you're not doing permanent damage, just bruises, then people won't worry too much about the occasional potato. (I've got a friend who at least used to work the indy circuit in Colorado, and even though I'm untrained, I told him that I know how to take your basic face and back bumps and, if he ever needed to get over as a psycho while I was in the area, he could always use me as a plant to punk out--and that he should stiff me, if he does, to make sure it LOOKS good, because bruises and bones heal...)

Why do I get the feeling that the Gotham Screwjob will somehow involve or result in Bruce and Clark's departure from the DCW? ;)

Basing a fictional wrestling gimmick on a real wrestling gimmick that was a version of a comic book character is one of the craziest things about writing this world, lol. There is just way too much cross-pollination...

It's true, wrestlers can take a fair amount of abuse without complaining about it! I bet he's really good for exactly that reason, he errs on the side of real impact without (usually) actually hurting anyone...

The Gotham Screwjob is still a ways in the future, and I'm not telling! *grin* I probably shouldn't have even mentioned it there, but I couldn't resist--and you knew it was coming in some form already anyway... :)
