Of COURSE Bruce has thought about all the logistics behind what it would take to start a wrestler run promotion. Because that is, of course, his endgame. He secretly has the starting capital - he's gone in from the ground up in order to make the connections and find appropriate partners. This whole bit is very much comparable to comicBruce's early days amongst the criminal element and away in the dojo - he's not Batman yet, but he's laying the groundwork. That's a beautiful and well done parallel :D

A Vincelike Lex is a delight to read. I very much agree with rdfox's commentary that his pragmatism winning out over his Lexiness is excellent. But you're very right about Lex's downfall being his irrational hatred of Superman, and Vince has that kind of flaw in spades - so many wrestlers he did not push due to personal dislike or his feelings that their type would never get over, all lost opportunities. And his constant reliance on a 'household name' wrestler every few generations which he pushes at the expense of raising up new talent is another Vince flaw I could see easily being translated onto Luthor's ruthless 'business first' mindset and being used to screw Clark over.

The analysis aside, I love all the new story elements! Selina definitely deserved that full time contract, Harvey too (the bit with him and Guy talking about passing the title was touching). I'm SO looking forward to the JLI's final show and the Invasion angle :D And of COURSE Bruce demands Clark! SQUEE.

Really early on I had a couple of people comment that Batman and Superman don't seem very present in the story, and I realized that's because this really is a pre-capes origin story (a non-powered pre-capes origin story? Oooookay). Bruce is very much doing the training thing, yes! And Clark is still struggling to figure out what his "powers" (in this case, physical strength and a charisma he isn't quite aware of yet) can be used for.

I'll be really interested to see how Vince's flaws map over onto Lex! Because yes, McMahon can get irrational about things (God, his insistence that "little guys" can't win believably drives me mad--that's going to come into play with Dick and maybe Tim later, but since Bruce and Clark are very much Vince's physical "type" it can't be a problem with them!)

All of the little JLI stories have come to mean so much to me--especially Guy, OMG, I'm so attached to him, and he's just not going to stay. *sniffles heartbrokenly* But I'm hoping to give him an awesome sendoff!
