Now you must imagine Clark in overalls doing a shooting star press! :D At least now he's in a basic navy blue singlet, that helps a bit...
I'm having a lot of fun putting these together! There are so many cool things in both comics and wrestling to show, so...so many crazy videos (Guy and the Ultimate Warrior will have to get their own post, that's for sure!), and so much history in both.
Your last two entries haven't shown up on my subscription feed, so I missed them! Wonder what's amiss there o.O
Huh! I haven't been crossposting or doing anything differently, so I wonder. Maybe you need to track my journal or something? Or you can follow me on DW instead, everything's going up there as well...
Clark HATES that outfit so much, poor Clark! He's going to hate the next one even more, I'm afraid...
Nothing wrong with having DW as your base! I've been thinking about giving in and getting a paid account there just so I can have a fuller set of icons...I have enough conversation over there now that I miss the range. :)
That Litacanrana move is poetry. The Shooting Star is really a one-guy move - your partner just has to make sure he doesn't move into the way of your face - but the Litacanrana is a real two-person move - you do the jump and then your partner has to take the bump in such a way as to not drop you on your head. This is wrestling at its finest.
Oh, that is SUCH a good point! The hurricanrana is definitely a full-on teamwork move, that's part of what makes it so beautiful. If either person messes it up you've got an injury on your hands... I don't think I can consciously realized that when I made it "their" move, but that must have been why it grabbed me when I went looking...
hee! Yeah, this kind of collaborative physical storytelling is really what I love about wrestling. You have to trust the guy you're in the ring with to pull off some of the most beautiful moves. It's a perfect move for them - one person in the air and one grounded, sky and earth.
BISCUITS AND GRAVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY~! Gawd, I always loved that theme. ;)
I'm a little surprised you didn't include the Shooting Brock Press (or was that Shooting Brock Self-Piledriver?) as an example of why Vince doesn't allow guys Clark's size to do it. (That said, even if Lex bans the SSP, I could see him doing a *gorgeous* moonsault--like, one that would be like if Kurt Angle ever hit his.)
Why do I also see Clark being one of the few people who could make the Canadian Destroyer convincing instead of being a little *too* obviously cooperative?
I could easily see Clark having a style similar to that of the late Mike Awesome (a 270-pound six-five guy who flew like a lucha cruiserweight), particularly if he ever had to go heel and thus went apeshit with the chairs and tables...
I love that theme song too, it...kind of sums them up. *grin*
I did see vids of Lesnar's Shooting Star, which is frankly amazing just for having the guts to try it with a build like his. o_o
You're right, being a heel would free Clark up for a lot of extra moves... *rubs hands* I'll have to look into Mike Awesome! (My husband leans over my shoulder and says sadly, "late?" then goes to Wikipedia).
Ironically, Brock had no trouble with the SSP back in OVW; he slipped when he tried it against Angle due to nerves about doing it on PPV.
Yeah, Awesome committed suicide in Tampa about a year after his last wrestling appearance, at the first ECW One Night Stand PPV. I don't think that there was any confirmation of the cause, but given how many brain cells he and Masato Tanaka killed in their matches, I wouldn't be at all shocked if he had CTE...

Love these behind the scenes metas. They really help to understand what all is going on.

*giggling* I imagined exactly Hillbilly Jim's outfit for poor Clark, glad to see my suspicions confirmed XD
