*flails and make incoherent noises*

I don't have time just now to make a proper comment, but I had to read this, when I saw it, and after I read it I had to comment. Just... So perfect. *hugs you tight*

I'll be back later with a proper comment, I promise. And thank you.

"To have seen such a noble light blaze forth, such a fierce glory burn...it was worth it all." He took a breath. "Even if it now lies forever sealed in darkness and silence, in the roots of the mountain, beyond all our regrets."

Frodo nodded, understanding. "The Arkenstone," he breathed.

Somehow, I don't think he's talking about that, Frodo. ;-)

Very lovely, as always.

Haha, I love clueless outsider POVs and Frodo was very obliging here! Glad you liked!

*grin* You know he celebrates it, as he does the anniversary of the Battle of Five Armies... (Now I'm wondering about how he does that!)

OH MY GOD ;_;

As usual, you got the characters' voices perfect, I could very easily hear Frodo and Bilbo speaking. And the gorgeous, haunted longing that comes across when Bilbo describes Thorin's heart-piercing beauty and blazing light is just soul-wrenching.

Now, if you'll pardon me, I'm going to go drown in feels because I realized that shipping him with Thorin means even though Bilbo goes into the undying lands it means HE STILL NEVER SEES THORIN AGAIN OH GAWD

Seeing Bilbo and Frodo (a young and innocent Frodo!) at the beginning of Hobbit really kind of got me, somehow! It was fun to try and get their voices.

And oh, you do want to break my heart, don't you? T_T

Oh! My heart is breaking. I love how Frodo makes his own conclusion, because I really think Bilbo loves all the memories, but actually talking about what he's lost might be too painful. *sigh*

YES, that exactly. That Bilbo talks and talks, but keeps that secret pain as much to himself as he can...auggghhh. Speaking in code, one of my favorite tropes!

Oh, that was beautiful, and sad, and just... just right.

YOU'VE BEEN TALKING TO PETER JACKSON, RIGHT? THIS IS A REAL DELETED SCENE, RIGHT?

Man, after that first movie and That Hug, I'm convinced that the whole movie series is All About Thorin And Bilbo, so I almost wouldn't be surprised! It kind of does have to end with them talking, doesn't it? *looks kind of hopeful, then remembers it will rip her heart out*
