Aw, thanks! I kind of loved the idea that magic would make Bruce see Clark in new ways, somehow. :)

It had been instinct, as natural as breathing. A flick of his hand and a shimmering shield had sprung up between the Lantern and Superman, deflecting the light harmlessly.

Bruce buried his face in his hands. "You cannot expect me to believe that just because recently I've--I've--"

"--become intimate with Superman, now I'm some kind of sorcerer?"

Jason stared at him helplessly. "Bruce," he said, "This is what you truly are. I would never help you cut off your own hands, and I will not help you cripple your mental powers. I will help you train them--"
"--No thank you," Bruce said, stalking toward the door. "I just won't use them. Ever."
Oh yes, Bruce can be so stubborn sometimes.

He woke at night from dreams of losing himself in the power, of lifting Clark in a blazing halo of light and doing impossible, maddeningly good things to him. So vulnerable.
“maddeningly good things” - Hmmmm, the image of those things... AWWWWWW. :)

*coughs* Mmmm, yes, I liked that image as well. :) I'm so glad you liked it, I love writing Bruce and Clark in a relationship (I almost always write them just getting into one and not so much after, so it's an interesting change for me!)

Ahhh, I kind of loved that detail when it came to me, poor Bruce has a hard time not over-protecting his kids sometimes, I think. He knows better, but still!

I didn't realize it until I was in the middle of writing it, and then I just grinned like a loon! :D
