Satisfying, it was amazing and such a wonderful show of both Clark's powers coming to the fore and his mother having to realize that even though her son is not human he is still her loving son. That hug she gave Clark as she cried and told him how she and Jonathan found him was so evocative that I felt her pain.
I also liked how Bruce was preoccupied by his and Clark's kiss, and LOL'ed over Clark's shared preoccupation as well.
Over all a nice transition chapter forshadowing things to come
Thank you for sharing this with us, I am hooked shooked and snooked by this 'verse.

It was really hard to write Martha as holding that secret all to herself, so yeah, that she and Clark can finally share it means a lot.

*grin* They're so cute when they're trying to be totally cool and can't quite manage it!
I'm thrilled you're enjoying this series and I can't wait to post the next chapter! *bounces*

And poor Bruce. Since this isn't Batman Begins-verse, I can't say this is before he gave his coat to a homeless guy and went to be a thief for a few years; but to see him attempting to pre-Bat with a huge chunk of his streetwisdom missing is amusing.

She was pretty stubborn about it until now--but seeing Clark freaking out, that's got to get through to her. And yeah, I was glad that she could get some closure on the issue...

*grin* This is indeed before that, and as you can kind of tell, is leading up to it! :)

Oh man, the aftermath of the kiss from both Bruce and Clark's POV's was wonderful. And OH GOD HEAT VISION! OH GOD! TTT__TTT But I'm glad Clark finally knows the truth. His mother/son moment with Martha was wonderful as well.
He'd studied the art of seduction in Europe, back when he still harbored the delusion that he was going to become some kind of suave international spy.
OH. MY. GOD. Now I am filled with fantastic mental images of Bruce as Agent 007. "Wayne, Bruce Wayne." That is sexy. LOL
This just keeps getting better and better! <3

Gahhh, it's always the scariest and hardest to deal with, and it always bothers me at a certain level that it's so often linked to his sexuality, so I tried to de-link it a little bit here...

LOL! Bruce's adolescence is such a mystery--I mean, he can't have traveled the world specifically thinking he was going to run around on the streets of Gotham kicking muggers! Maybe he could? It seems so very implausible, somehow...

Poor Clark! Heat vision has to be the scaries thing of all! That would scare anyone!
I'm glad Martha admitted what happened that night long ago and made Clark feel as if he wasn't a monster, just her son. And I liked his response about his parents: he'll always respect and even love Jor-El and Lara as his birth parents, but his strongest emotional connection is to Jonathan and Martha. What imprints us as children remains with us forever, and they are the parents he knew since he was tiny. :)
Lovely chapter! I liked the way it ended with Bruce helping out. :)
And the boys' thoughts! Bruce walking into things and Clark feeling heat that wasn't heat vision! LOL! ;)

I know! That's always the power that gets me--the strange senses are creepy, but heat vision is just terrifying.

I suspect she's been noticing little things for a while and feeling incredibly guilty and worried, so she was ready to face the music, I think...
Also, Bruce walking into things because he's thinking about Clark made me giggle to write. I'm glad you liked it!
