I adore this series, especially the glimpses of Kryptonian culture.

How did a planet with no magic come to have a magical rift at its heart?
I think magic exists on Krypton, they just have bred out of the genome the ability to manipulate it, thus they don't "see" it anymore and don't talk about it in their books.
Lex has no intention of being on this side when the gates get closed--he's going to loot as much as possible and set timers, then bolt. :)
The third question I'm still debating! I'm not sure Bruce is going to be willing to give me a straight answer within this series, lol...
I'm having a lot of fun with Kryptonian society in this one, I'm glad you've been enjoying it too!

Hmm, what's this about Jor-El and Lara not being...? ;)
Are they closet touchers? ;)
Lara's a doll! I love her flightiness and yet there's substance there. :)

That's my favourite version of them. 8D With closet!hippy Jor-El. Oh, I hope that's it!

A post-apocalyptic earth, hippy Jor-El and conservative Lara which ends in a happy love story for them, green lantern Kal...

Bruce and Kal's children will be ADORABLE. ♥

I like to think there are some interesting side stories with the magicians working on Krypton with Jor-El and how he's come to learn more about humans and their capabilities.
(And he might not be entirely clueless about Kal and Bruce's night-time activities, and I don't mean the cuddling. *grin*)
I think my imagination balks at the idea of writing Bruce and Kal actually with children, but I suspect they will have them in this world and they'll be great dads, too. :)

(Or is Kon-El a cousin in this, like his namesake? Or... am I totally dreaming, heh!)
:3 Man, Lex really does give me the heeby jeebies. Good job making him sufficiently scary to give a green lantern goosebumps. *shiver*

I suspect (although I probably won't write it fully, being hopeless at stories about raising children, lol) that they do indeed have at least Kon-El later. And I'm glad you enjoyed Jor-El getting won over! He's a grouchy and insular person, but he's seen enough positive examples now that he's starting to suspect some cross-cultural interchange might be a benefit to Krypton.
I'm enjoying Lex in this one, I have to admit. *grin*
Thanks so much for reading and feedbacking!

Good old Lex is so pragmatic.
On an unrelated note, I just noticed the subtitle on your journal when I read this chapter! I approve, even if Chomsky loses much of his appeal when you have to do endless syntax trees to his specifications...:)

I kind of used the animated version of her here--she knows Bruce way too well to expect him to have a quiet life. :) That's true in mainstream canon now as well, I believe. I kind of like them that way.

*grin* My knowledge of Chomsky is mostly secondary sources, I confess...but I always loved that sentence, it's totally unforgettable. :)
