[Thought this might be of interest...]

The MIT Folk Dance Club is holding a Victorian Ball on Sunday October 22, 2006, from 7:30 to 10:30 pm. Music will be provided by the band "Spare Parts".

The location is MIT's Walker Memorial: Morss Hall, 142 Memorial Drive, Cambridge MA (at the corner of Ames Street, just east of the main MIT classroom buildings).

We will dance waltzes, polkas, and other easy Victorian couple and set dances.

Admission is free! Donations are welcome. Bring a snack or dessert if you wish.

Period or creative dress is encouraged (but not required). No partner is necessary.

For a map of the venue, see http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?selection=50
Free parking is available on nearby streets, or in MIT's East Lot on Main Street east of Vassar.

(The Sunday night MIT international folk dance will also occur as usual that night.)
