So, my boys are back. Finally. On a Friday, which is weird. But considering I've got five shows on Thursday that I'm watching now, it's probably better that way.
I dunno. I was a little disappointed by tonights episode. Just a tiny bit. I liked it, don't get me wrong, but it was maybe a little boring? Like, I'm used to them on the ground and running on season premiere night. This wasn't running, not really. Not a big fan of Lisa, which is admittedly not entirely fair. I don't sail that 'ship, if you know what I mean. It just doesn't make sense to me that out of all the women that have been in Dean's life that they'd choose Lisa. Why not Cassie? He was actually with Cassie. If Dean was gonna shack up with anyone, Cassie would make more sense to me. Though, I guess Ben might be a big part of why Lisa was the choice. Dean needs family.
Anyway, leaving that. There's something off about Sam. I think maybe the devils still in side him? 'Cause the look on his face when Dean hugged him just didn't look like Sam to me. And, okay, I get why Sam and Bobby didn't tell Dean, but I don't agree with them. I totally respected Dean's decision at the end of the episode not to start hunting again. Sam basically took his choice away from him, sending him to Lisa and then not telling him when he came back. It was Sam's dying wish and even if Sam didn't follow Dean's when Dean went to hell, I don't think Dean was capable of anything else. And so, it's Sam's own fault that his brother decided to stay with Lisa.
Another weird this was Sam's rejection of the Impala. I get it, he wanted Dean to keep her because he's still hoping Dean'll change his mind, but it just didn't sit right with me.
Really not liking all the tension between them. In a kind of "I'm hurting for them and can't wait to see them kiss and make up" kind of way. Also, really looking forward to Castiel coming back later. Is it sad that Castiel's pretty much become my favourite part of the show? Cas is kind of the reason I'm not a fan of Dean/Lisa. Dean/Castiel all the way, man.
The Campbells. Right. Love, love, love Samuel. Of anyone, I think he's the one that Dean's gonna go to most in this next year. I liked the quiet guy, but not the two others so much. Especially the girl. I have no idea why. I wanted to like them, really, but there's this smug superiority about them. Hell, even Sam was showing it a bit. But yeah. The quiet cousin, definitely my favourite of the three.
Over all, definitely no my favourite episode, my least favourite of the season premieres. It wasn't a trainwreck, but it wasn't awesome or anything. Looking for what the rest of the season has in store for us. Can't wait to see what happens to finally make Dean hunt full time again. Hope we'll see the return of some of my favourite characters, like Crowley. Loved me some Crowley last season.
