Jobhunting stuff

This morning, I put in my usual call to a local recruiter who's been trying to get me a job with this one company for about three months, now.

Nothing had changed concerning the company's utter failure to make any progress, but she mentioned that her company had put up an online ad for this one administrative/clerical position. Within ONE HOUR of posting the job, they had OVER THREE HUNDRED applicants for it, and had to remove the posting. Insanity!

My interview went REALLY well. I'm glad. I also had to do more of those Proveit! assessment tests, but I got over 90% on all three of them (98 on Word! there's just Mail Merge stuff I'm sticky at), including a math test that I got 98 out of 100 on. I also type between 70-80 WPM these days. I had a lovely long chat with the lady afterward, and she seemed VERY enthusiastic about placing me with one of two possibles. We'll have to see how that goes. I'd say more, but I don't want to get my hopes up and dashed again. She also gave me a lovely compliment and said I looked 'just like a doll!' So that was nice.

This weekend we're going camping (it's been confirmed) and I'm going to be practicing doing my dreads into a wrap this week, so I don't come home with a collection of fleas and ticks. Because Ew.

Other than that, it hasn't exactly been non-stop excitement around here; I think I'll read a bit more of my book, possibly in the tub!
