(no subject)
Was without internet access for a day because I'm a clutz and an idiot.
I tripped over the phone cord yesterday, flew forward about 8 feet and was so busy being protective of my shoulder I didn't protect anything else. As I was about to hit the floor I slammed my face into the TV stand. (Could've been much worse--I have a scratch about an inch long and a bit of swelling and bruising on my cheekbone.)
The biggest pain in the ass was I completely ripped apart my DSL filter when I fell. It didn't hurt the jack, but the filter was literally in half, which ruined both the cord to the phone and the cord to the modem.
But because I am She-Ra I was able to go to Best Buy after my PT appointment, buy the right stuff, and fix it myself.
Okay, so I had a little help from the Best Buy salesman guy and the lady on the helpline at BellSouth. Still. I'm proud.
