Bored, bored and bored.

So. Television Without Pity still having trouble. I never realize how much time I spend there until I can't access it anymore.

Went out to dinner with my mother tonight. There's this yummy thing at Fatz called Stacked Chicken, with ham and bacon and cheese and honey dijon sauce. Yes, I am a carnivore.

Went back to her house afterwards and watched American Idol with her and my stepdad. It was surreal. For one thing, my mother has always been so deeply religious that at one point, just the fact that they used the word "Idol" in the title would have been enough to keep her from watching it. (When I was a kid I was a wrestling fan--shuddup--and had a poster of the Rock 'n Roll Express--again, shuddup, Ricky Morton was cute--that said 'Hail Hail Rock 'n Roll' on it. She tore it off the wall and said it was sacreligious. She also broke my Guns 'n Roses tape in half, but that's a different story.)

For another thing, I've not sat and watched TV with my mother since "Dukes of Hazzard" was still in first-run episodes and Richard Dawson was hosting "Family Feud".

Been working on a ficlet the past few days. Can't quite get the end where I want it, which is gah, frustrating. It should be done by now. I'm so stuck. Think I'm going to leave it for a few days so I can ponder a bit.

Haven't yet watched "House" from tonight, though I noticed Marc Blucas was a guest star. Hi, Riley! I hated you on Buffy, but it's nice to see a familiar face. I guess I forgive you for the suckitude back then. Still, it's Hugh Laurie I'm watching for. Speaking of which, he's calling my name. Going to watch "House" now.
