Hi all!!
Whoa! I pulled up LJ's main page and was shocked at the change! Everything seems so BIG!! I don't know if I like it. Hmmm...maybe I just need to give it sometime to grow on me.
Well, not much going on here. The school work is really starting to come in now. Which is both a good thing and a bad thing.
I went gaming (D&D) last night, over at my best friend from high school's dorm. I don't know if I had a good time or not, to tell you the truth. See, since she broke up with her boyfriend of five years, who was also our DM, somebody else had to step up. So C, a guy who played in our last campaign, decided to DM. But C is more of a numbers kind of guy. He just likes to have lots of battles in order to earn tons of experience points. So, that's all we do. We just go down into this "cave" and kill things. It's retarded. There is no role playing whatsoever. I mean, there isn't even a need for skills! There are no puzzles to solve, no plot, no nothing! And it's really disappointing because I've been looking forward to playing in this campaign all summer. *Sighs* It's a bummer.
Hey, I was wondering if anyone could explain the difference between "The New X-Men" comics, "X-Treme X-Men" comics, and the regular "X-Men" comics. Because I'm thinking of reading an older version of the X-Men, instead of just "Ultimate X-Men," but I can't find a good description of them.
I'm really tempted to just start reading the original "X-Men." But there are so many issues I would have missed. And I'm not sure what's all included in the tpb. I want to be able to get most of the story, because I hate it when I'm reading and there's a reference that I don't understand. That's why I was wondering about the other X-Men comics. So, I would really appreciate any help or suggestions you guys might have. Like whether or not you think it's worth it buy all the original "X-Men" tpb. Or if you think I should just choose one of the others. Thanks a ton!
