Do you mean the header? Like in my LJ, the clown? Okay. I'm not good with this kind of stuff but I'll try...

I think the header size varies depending on what layout you are using (like for my LJ, I use expressive/mixit so my header should be 940 pixels wide with no height restriction) and your account type. There are tutorials about that and here some links that might help you:

oh good. :D I'm glad it worked out.

The layout though, there's something weird about it, right? I mean, when you put a header image, there's always a small portion of the header at the right that looks separated and a portion of the image is doubled there... hehe. But it's okay I guess...
