Promotional gimmicks
Today, while I was surfing around, I saw a whole bunch of promotional gimmicks. You know the type...play a simple game of skill (or sometimes even luck) and win a(n) _______ (Xbox 360, iPod Nano, what-have-you).
The first one was "Hit the monkey with a coconut." I was apparently not aware that monkeys and coconuts coexisted in the same habitats. I guess it isn't impossible, you just never really hear about subtropical coconut-eating monkeys.
The second was "Hit the monkey with a boomerang." What's the deal with monkeys? do we wish to hurt them because their little faces seem so mischevious? P.S. I'm not sure about the coconuts, but I'm pretty sure the Aboriginies never lived among the monkeys.
The third was "Shoot the truck." By now, the promotional gimmicks are getting desperate. Before long, they will just have a little hand cursor with the instructions "do some stuff."
