Let's be serious for a minute...

Ok, for those of you just joining our regular programming, I went into Corvallis today to be examined for testicular cancer. It was a pretty scary thing, so I have been kinda messed up these last few days, so I will delay the news no further!

I have a BENIGN cyst on my right testicle (please, fellow LJ-ers, spare me your lumpy nut jokes!) It really turned out to be no big deal at all, but it taght me an important lesson: People care. You always hear about the bad things in the world, but when something like this happens to put everything into perspective, you really see how much your life is affected by the people around you.

To those of you who are just hearing about this now: Please don't feel bad that you are just now hearing about it. It was sort of a hard thing to bring up (let's face it, it's not a very frequent topic...). Most of all, I didn't want people to worry, in the event that it was nothing, which it was. I heart all you people to death.

To those of you I HAVE told: You were all an unimaginable source of support to me, and I wish I could adequately express the thanks that are due to you for your unwavering faith and encouragement. I heart all you guys too.

Now let's party like it's 1999.
