Collins OOM: Actual Reality: Part 1

Oct 11, 2005 02:08

When I dream
On my own
I'm alone but I ain't lonely
For a dreamer night's the only time of day
When the city's finally sleepin'
All my thoughts begin to stray
And I'm on the train that's bound for Santa Fe

Collins is on the plane. He used the ticket that Mark gave him to head to where the restaurant was located. He was heading to Albuquerque and then from there would take a train to Santa Fe. He still could not believe that Mark was doing this. He bought Collins the one thing that he had hoped to do all his life. As much as he *cough* enjoyed *endcough* teaching Computer Age Philosophy. He was writing some notes down in a small notebook. Ideas mostly, about the restaurant.

And I'm free
Like the wind
Like I'm gonna live forever
It's a feeling time can never take away

For once in his life, after Angel dieing and them being reunited, he felt like he was really doing something with his life. He's travelling to a place he's never been and writing it all down. He'll have a lot of work to do but somehow, deep inside, he knows where he'll be in his off time. He just needs to help get this set up.

All I need's a few more dollars
And I'm outta here to stay
Dreams come true
Yes, they do
In Santa Fe

Collins stands on the train, he's doing it. He watches the people in the train. This isn't altogether different from the subway but it's above ground. He holds on tight to the pole but somehow his thoughts escape to Angel. He's wondering what she's doing and how she's getting along. She was always his strength, his inspiration and now he was going to put that inspiration to work.
