Last night I was not feeling so swell. I laid on the bed around dusk and watched the Sun fall slowly behind the trees. The sky was light blue at first, with a hint of yellow. As it closed in on the horizon, the sky behind the leafless trees turned a bright orange, fading to yellow and then a smoky grey as time passed. The silhouette of the trees against the fiery sky reminded me of a backpacking trip from years ago. I stood on top of Whigg Meadows and watched the Sun go to sleep, leaving an aura of beautiful colors behind to warm the trees in glowing comfort for a few more minutes. I love comfort of ones soul when watching an Autumn sunset.

What is on for the weekend? Well, Amanda’s birthday is Sunday and Shannon’s is the 21st. Chris is leaving on Wednesday for 2 weeks. So I am treating my daughters to a day trip. We are leaving in the morning to go to Nashville…yeah the really big city! We are piling in two cars with the kids and heading west. Our plans are to make a day of it. The drive is about 3 ½ hours. We will spend the day at Opry Mills, have a cool lunch at the Rainforest Café’, take turns with the kids so everyone gets a little ALONE shopping time and just have a blast! We will not be home until the darkened hours and I am hoping for a nice trip. Sunday will be spend getting things ready for Chris to leave, making sure all the heavy lifting things are done and things are in order. I am looking forward to the weekend and plan to spend at least some time Sunday with some fruit, cheese and alone time with trees. They are preparing for Winter you know.

So Happy Weekend everyone…will post on Monday!
