Sorry, lullabyeleague, it really is going to be a once in a lifetime trip.

This article, followed by internet research on the topic, left me in tears. At work. And maybe that's because of ten million other reasons. And ecosystems are destroyed every day. They have been across the history of the planet, and change is inevitable, yaddah yaddah.

Well, this is a change that we can see, and a change I would not have chosen. A change that we caused. Knowingly. A change that is merely a symptom of a much bigger change. And there's nothing wrong with change, sooner or later the coral reefs of the world would have died due to any other scenario even if there were no humans. Evil trout would have eaten them. Or giant rabbits. Who knows.

It still makes me indescribably sad.
