in both theory and execution. the album Act I: goodbye friends of the heavenly bodies is a collaborative album, envisioned by Daniel Victor, of epic proportions..... Scott Anderson (Finger Eleven)+ Matt Talbot (Hum) + Mogwai ALONE sends me off into a joyous nirvana. but there's many more including Raine Maida (OLP) and Dallas Green (Alexisonfire) and all kinds of big music-y peoples.
The basic premise is that theres different lead male vocalist for each track. Obviously no one from Mogwai does any vocals, they provided music-ness.
Is it a coincidence that my favourite song so far is the one done by Matt Talbot? I think not. And it fell into the relams of favouritehood before I even knew it was him. I think this says something about my consistent liking of Matt Talbot. It makes me miss Hum. And miss that he really isnt in any band at all these days, only doing studio work. <3Matt Talbot<3
Scott Anderson's song (I Hope Your Heart Runs Empty) is pretty freakin' bitchin too.
So yes. My latest musical obsession.
Slow-core for the win!
