A mad rush...

I've decided...

To apply and audition for a place in the Singapore Youth Chinese Orchestra. I mean, no harm going for the audition though. Whether I can get in or couldn't, it's already another different issue.

BUT of course! I would definitely try my best and all of my might to enter this Orchestra. I've been waiting for quite sometime, just that I feel that during their periodical recruitment of new intakes, I'm just not ready for it. I don't want to apply for the place and then embarrass myself right in front of the three audijcators when I know that I'm not even ready. Like what my Dad always says,"Since you've already gone this far, always remember to do your very best and be the best."

However, this time round, it's different... I have the readiness and the confidence to enter this Orchestra. So, yes... I will apply for the place, go for the audition and see how it goes. =)

The audition will consist of 4 parts:-

1) Choice piece (not exceeding 5 minutes)
2) Set piece (chosen by the Organizer - 4 minutes)
3) Scales (C, D, F, G and B-flat: Relatively simple lah)
AND
4) Sight-reading (I need to write down Tenor clef notes from today onwards to train myself reading on tenor clefs)

So there you go...

Now, it's a mad rush to the racing point of applying to SYCO, for I've just realised the deadline of the application date is on the 16th October... I need to prepare my birthcert, my two recent passport photos and *blinks*... I have to think about what are my choice pieces (Should I choose Spring Song, Humouresque or the dancelike, my most favourite piece - Tarantella?) to send in...

Ahhhh...~
