Movie night
Rikki and I decided that Tuesday nights are Movie nights and every Tuesday we'll go see a movie at the Dinuba theatre, because they have a special on Tuesdays where any movie is $6.50 all day. It's a discounted price from the normal $9.00 which is great for us, because we aren't rich...lol. We buy our goodies at Walmart or the dollar store before we go and just take our "movie purses" so it's even cheaper. We know we're going to be working late a lot soon and we need one day to try and have a little fun or else we'll go mad.
Last week we watched Iron Man which totally kicked ass...you should see in the theatres, because it's one of those movies that just wont be the same on DVD, ya know? Yesterday we saw Speed Racer. We enjoyed it. I loved the bright colors and we both enjoyed the computer animation and stuff that they used...it looked really neat. This one I'll say you can wait for DVD. I mean, I liked it, but it wasn't so great that you HAVE TO see in the theatre, ya know?
Anyway, we've been reflecting a lot lately, I guess, because we're just really tired of the same old crap everyday. Life is really too short to just sit around working your life away. Do things. See people. See the world. Have fun, because you never know when it will end. I don't want to live my life to empty and meaningless when I die. I want to be able to say that I had fun and I did things and maybe impact a few lives along the way, ya know? Maybe I'm just trippin', but I've said it before and I'll say it again:"I want my life to mean more than just a funeral cost. Much more than just a funeral cost." (lyrics from one of Iceman's raps)
So, if anyone feels like they can shell out $6.50 on a Tuesday night...come join us for a movie in Dinuba. Next week it's the Narnia Prince Caspian movie. Be there or be square. ;)
