[Finally... he was back to normal. What a strange couple of weeks that was. He was glad to be back to normal. Being a child with Hubert was such a strange experience...

...With Hubert...

Asbel runs to Hubert's door now, knocking on it.]

[Give it a couple of seconds and the door will open, revealing Hubert with a guarded look (just his luck, people had to see him that way). Some of that drops when he realizes who the visitor is.]

So you've returned to normal, as well . . .

Yeah... [Asbel nervously rubs the back of his head upon seeing his brother.] And you too, it looks like...

Have you informed the others yet?

[A shake of the head.]

[He steps forward, moving around Asbel to exit his room.]

We'll have to do that, then.

...Yeah. [When Hubert walks past him, he turns around to follow him.

...But then he stops.]

...Ah, Hubert?

[He, too, stops and looks over his shoulder. Speak now or forever hold your peace, Asbel.]

I just... [He looks away from Hubert's gaze. Back home, seven years had passed since they'd been together as children. Seven years to forget.

...But Luceti made that all seem like yesterday.]

...Wanted to apologize for how I treated you.

[Under more normal circumstances, he would have asked what brought up the apology. But he knows that the past few days dug up things they'd long put past them, and Hubert simply readjusts his spectacles with an impassive face.]

Is that all?

[If so, get a move on.]

...Is that really all you have to say, Hubert? [He wouldn't even blame you for chewing him out for that.]

[There's a long pause. This is neither the time nor place for such talk. Actually, it's the perfect time, but he was never one to confide in his brother.]

Yes.

[Because even if Asbel had treated him poorly on numerous occasions in the past, Hubert had been happy.]

...Alright. [Of course, just like always, Hubert won't talk to him. And there's nothing he can do to make that change.

Asbel just moves to walk past Hubert now.]

[It's a small blessing, as Hubert takes a quick moment to look down at the floor before straightening himself out. He thought he'd gotten over it.

But he reminds himself that there's no gaining back what was lost, and with that he follows suit.]
