I'm gonna be in BIG trouble ....
when this child is old enough to DATE.
Last night we were watching Firehouse Dog (super-cute family movie, btw)... and there's a part in it where this firefighter woman punches the bad guy.
As that scene unfolded the following conversation took place...
D: WOW !! Mama did you SEE that punch??
M: I saw that. She got him good, huh?
D: Yeah. She's TOUGH. I'd take her for a wife!!
M: (hiding my amusement) you would?
D: Yep. And that would make TWO wives for ME!
M: 2 !!??? Well who is the other one?
D: WELL the other day this girl brought my grandma her medicine, and she was wearing these WAY cool slippers and I was like "OOOOH LA LA!!!" (*insert Deacon doing his eyebrow up and down thing while grinning a very cheesy grin*)
M: (totally cracking up) OH, so you like girls in slippers, huh??
D: (pointing at the TV) Yep. And FIREFIGHTER BOOTS ! (again with the eybrows, nodding, and cheesey smile).
I about FELL out of my chair. He's got plans for two wives at age 4 ... and he's basing his girl preferences on the shoes they wear. I'm gonna be in big trouble with this one.
I swear, I just NEVER know what's gonna come out of his mouth.
AND. yesterday Krystal was with us for a bit, and she's very short and overweight.... and has a LOT of trouble hopping up into my car. I asked her if she was too short, and she laughs and says yes... to which Deacon replies
"Well, KRYSTAL... you need to lose some weight and get rid of those thighs!"
OMG. My mouth hit the floor. Thank GOODNESS it was Krystal who could just laugh it off and not some random lady in the grocery store. I was APPALLED that something like that would come out of his mouth. I want him to retain his honesty but this child has GOT to learn some tact. Usually his manners are top notch, but at this age he just says whatever he thinks and I have GOT to curb that! lol !!
