What better way to spend it than wasting time on icons?
Anyway, I've decided that I'll limit myself to one layer of texture only.
Simplicity is best!
Recent results of messing around:
....I can't help but feel like I'm being too influenced by smelltheflowers though. Especially with the Haruhi against purple background icon. ._.;
Her icons are so gorgeous! However, it's important for me to not copy other people and attempt to find my own style.
Other attempts:
They're ok... I guess. It feels boring though. They look like the thousands of other icons lingering around on lj. To be honest, they feel more like bases than anything else.
Anyway, it's kinda annoying how small the girls' noses and mouths are. >_>
On the Haruhi with guitar icon, I had to resize the mouth separately so that it'll be visible. For the Mikuru icons, I frequently had to use dodge so her nose will show up.
