"Okay, so how'd Marbas wake up?"
I look down into her eyes, and I don't want to tell her, but it's only fair.
"Come on, I'm naked and it's getting cold out here." I mumble, pulling her into the house and back up the stairs.
We sit down on the window seat and I set her in my lap, her head tucked under my chin.
"Marbas apparently has.... a lady friend." I say delicately, and he all but snorts in my head. "And she's here in town, her name is Lilith. As in Lilith, Adam's first wife, Lilith the Lady of all demons." Wanda's breath catches in her throat as she makes the connections in her head. "They met up again that night I realized you had taken the contract. You came in after.... well, after." She just nods, not asking questions or interrupting.
"So that was the first thing that helped Marbas regain his sense. The second thing was...."
This will hurt her. I don't know if I want to hurt her or not, but she may as well know about the God that claimed her as his own.
"The second thing was Lúgh came to see me. It didn't go well... that was the night you found me unconscious." She moans softly and presses her face into my neck.
"Marbas didn't appreciate being mocked by him, neither did I. He woke up, and took control.... and now here we are."

I listen to Lucien's tale. Lilith, he's sleeping with the first woman to walk the earth, a woman formed to be perfect.. I can't complain, I have no rights. After all, Lúgh and Gaueko.
I'm hardly in a position to argue.

"The second thing was Lúgh came to see me. It didn't go well... that was the night you found me unconscious. Marbas didn't appreciate being mocked by him, neither did I. He woke up, and took control.... and now here we are."
Oh... Oh.... myfaultallmyfault
what have I done, what did I bring into our lives? "He came and taunted you into fighting? Oh Lucien, M' sorry, I'm so sorry, he had no right! I love you, he knows I love you, why would he do that?"
I wonder if I'll ever stop crying tonight.

"He came and taunted you into fighting? Oh Lucien, M' sorry, I'm so sorry, he had no right! I love you, he knows I love you, why would he do that?" Wanda's sobbing all over again, and I just tighten my arms around her.
At least she confirmed what my heart already knew, she love Me. At the end of the day, she's in my bed, with me.
"Stop, please stop. It's not worth it. Lúgh got his fight, and he left." I wipe the tears form her cheek. "I wasn't going to tell you, just forget it okay?" She hiccups and nods.
"C'mon. Lets get a shower and get some sleep. I'm exhausted, and you probably need some rest." I pull her up and take the silly tablecloth off her. The bruises on her hips and thighs shine against her pale skin.
"And that's kind?" I ask drly.

Lucien tries to sooth my frazzled nerves, wiping my tears away.
"I wasn't going to tell you, just forget it okay?" I nod, numbly, but I won't forget it. I'll never forget how he looked, crumpled there on the floor, in such pain he could barely move.
Oh my Lúgh.... why? Why?

"C'mon. Lets get a shower and get some sleep. I'm exhausted, and you probably need some rest."
And before I can protest, my covering is gone. His mouth goes into a grim line, and I finally look to where's he's staring.
Well... ouch. Damn, is that a hand print on my hip?
"And that's 'kind'?"
"That was.... past the point of caring." I answer honestly, and he merely grumbles and under his touch, the bruises vanish.
"You didn't have to do that, they would have faded." I say softly, but the look he gives me clearly states he's happier with them gone.
Lucien strides into the bathroom, and I hear the water in the shower start to run.
"Hey..." I call out, walking in behind him. "You never told me what exactly happened to your clothes."

"That was.... past the point of caring." Wanda explains the bruises, and I just glare at her for a moment, before making them go away.
She starts to protest, but really. I am not going to have her walking around with those.
Rather disgruntled, I begin the water for a hot shower, and just as I think my night is nearing a close, it rears it's ugly head again.
"You never told me what exactly happened to your clothes."
Oh crap, we never got to my night didn't we? Another long drawn out sigh, and I turn to face Wanda, but she's coming up to me, a soft smile on her face.
Or how about we drop it for the night and we can get to it over breakfast. She leans up and brushes a kiss across my jaw, before stepping into the shower.
"Best damn idea I heard all night." I declare and step into the shower right behind her.
