Freedom!!!!!! I have completed (with the amazing help of
tymothil) the total removal of the wrap from my car, and now it is just a glorious shiny white. I may not find it as easily in the parking lots anymore, but I sure as hell will be flipping off drivers if the mood strikes me! I think I got a blister on my finger from it, but it's worth it.
In other news, since I haven't really posted in forever, I've been keeping myself busy. Of course, looking for work, many thanks to the friends who are backing me up with referrals and ideas. I am way better networked than I have been before when job hunting. I have a few jobs that I'm really interested in, but waiting on, plus just registered at AppleOne today, and am willing to do whatever, if it pays enough. Also, there's the job fair next week which I'll be attending, if only to see which clients remember me, and fondly, and want to hire me.
Other stuff I've been doing is still volunteering at Starlight Theatre, still 2 weeks left of My Fair Lady, and I know someone who can get you tickets if you ask nicely (yes, me....). I've also been helping out at
lattenjoe's clinic, which has been great. The people working there are so nice, most of the patients aren't too crazy, and it keeps me from being distracted by the shiny glowing box in my living room. I check in patients, enter them in Quick Books, set appointments, do payments, and then in between, search the web for jobs. Plus, they have a/c, which is more than I can say for our house. See, win all around!
I've been keeping in touch with former co-workers, I made some great friends and, with my lazy tendencies, I have to work hard to not lose touch. Plus, lunches with friends are great! I even got to visit Disneyland with
deliylah and a former OC co-worker last week, what a great girls day at the park. Hopefully we'll even have a happy hour soon!
This weekend is more volunteering, car washing (oh it is so pretty!), and Sunday taking some ladies back up to Temecula to pick up our wine from Renzoni, and also a quick tasting at Keyways (yeah, twist my arm). For being unemployed, I sure am enjoying myself!
