I took Friday off (so needed that) and spent a few hours at Dancing Heart Spa getting completely worked - sauna time, body scrub, then a 90 minute massage. Jello girl for a while, attempted to find something military-esque for Sabbat, but the thrift stores were a loss. Did some homework then yummy Crazy Burger dinner.
Saturday was all about the ladies!! Nordies had their makeup trend show, so it was early rising and in our seats by 8:30. Got to spend the day with b-day girl
wrathofhon,
delyilah,
shamafrog, and
veggiebelle. We actually had two winners of freebies, and good stuff too! Downstairs for wanderings, facials, makeup, hand massages, and much shopping.
cspeedyb joined us, and man is he a great shopping companion!! After shopping was tasty brunch at Park House Eatery, filled to the brim, ugh.
Saturday night was Sabbat and pre-sippies at Gothplex, so I thought I'd be smart and park on Park, across from the club, for a quick getaway at the end of the night, but the Rock 'n Roll Marathon had other plans. Luckily, Shaun had seen the minimal signs on the street, and the continually fabulous
cspeedyb helped me move my car (read: I was too buzzed to drive, so he did), so no towing for me!! But, much chatting with folks, lots of people out, folks I haven't seen in a long time. I spent way more time outside chatting than inside dancing, but I go to club mostly for the people, so I was happy. Gave Joe and Jen a ride back to their car (he was a tipsy boy!) and home for crashing.
Sunday was all about school - our org. behavior class wrapped up with a final paper, and I was submitting for our group. Was still able to get some laundry done and a big shopping trip, and paper was submitted on time. I hope we get a good grade, I think we did a great job, but it's up to the teacher now. Wrapped up the evening with yummy baked chicken with artichoke heart spread and sweet corn on the cob, while watching "Walk Hard" in Blu-ray on our new PS3!! Funny f'ing movie, tv is prettier than ever in Blu-ray. Slept like a rock, but still didn't want to come into work. Two three-day weekends back to back doesn't do much to motivate me to work, but with 4 events in the next two months, I've got plenty to do.
Oh, and we got our passes today for 94.9's Independence Jam this Sunday, so if you're going, let me know so I can keep an eye out.
