Metrocon like whoa, part II

Maes Hughes is one fine pimp, yo.  I'd be his Scieska anyday.  XD

I really don't like working security for big events like the Costume Contest.  So many of the contest contestants were giving me crap about having to go back into the same room they had to line up in for the contest.  I was all like, "Dudes, you gotta go back in the room," and they were being all ticky and saying, "Oh, but it's freaking hot back there, and we've been back there forever, and someone's telling us we're supposed to stay outside in the Main Events room."  Then I'd try telling them again they had to go back, and they were just like, "You know what?  I'm just gonna stay outside and crap!"  I had to bring in one of the big security heads to yell at all them stupid people to go back in, and that was that.  By then, no one dared to disobey me, but that was only because of the security head dude, and never because they wanted to respect my glowstick-bestowed authority.  I hate people sometimes.

I actually spent a lot of my time working Dealers' Room security and afterward Costume Contest security, which meant I didn't have too much time for myself, but I still had a good time.  I got Brent (y0uregg ) to buy me the Rave Original Soundtrack, which I need to listen to once I recover my CD player from the SUV, Nii-kun (thedrearyraven ) bought me the Al cellphone ornament and keychain--whee, cuteness!--and saw PikaBelle, who always does Pokemon cosplay, as eighth movie Satoshi.

Oh and remember when I mentioned the goal that would make my dreams conme true last entry?

I so did it!  And it's actually really embarrassing, now that I think back to it.  ^.^;;

~*~ A Loser Fangirl Story (beware!) ~*~

I got lucky on Sunday and found an guest autograph session I wasn't actually working during, and I was like, "Oh my gosh, I have to do it!"  So I went in, tried calling Nii-kun to tell her where I was so she could witness my lame fangirliness, and told Brent where to find me.  I never got a hold of Nii-kun, which made me sad.  Brent would have to tape my stupidity.

While we were in line for autos, I was tutoring him how to use the camcorder.  After a while, I finally got to the table--I sent Brent to the other side of the room to supposedly film my lameness clandestinely, but he so didn't ever--and got all the guests, regardless if I'd heard any of their work or not, to sign my Metrocon guide.

So I finally get to Vic Mignonga, and it's finally time to put Operation: Lame Fangirl to work.  Brent, in all his non-stealthy glory, blurts out, "Oh my gosh, Ash, do I start recording now, now, now?!" and Vic's all like, "Dear God, you're kidding me, right?" or something like that, and I'm thinking, "Holy crap, this sucks.  Brent was supposed to tape it in secret!"  So Brent's taping, and I'm like all lame and nervous and stuttery when I ask him, "Seeing as you're Ed in Fullmetal Alchemist...(this is the part where I'm down on my knees and lame fangirly pleading)...do I have your permission to marry Al?"  All the other people in line are like, "Oh man, that's so dorky" or something like that, and Vic's like, "But he's not even old enough to get married yet!" and I start running off things like, "Well, I don't mean now, I mean when he's old enough, and when he's not a suit of armor anymore and restored to his human form..." and stuff like that.

He's all laughing at my obvious fangirliness now and finally says, "All right, you have my permission to marry Al.  But be nice to him."  At that point I'm freaking out in all my dorky fangirliness and spew "Oh my gosh, thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!" a million times, and he's signing my con guide.

In brief...I now officially have Vic Mignonga/dub Edward Elric's blessing to marry Alphonse Elric.  And on tape.  So...hawt.  X.x;;

~*~ End.  Fin.  Tapos na.  You get the drift. ~*~

And that's the end of my Metrocon experience.

PS:  I never did find that chick who wanted to play Narultimate Hero II with me.  But I guess it's all for the best, because I'd no time to hang in the Metrocade on Saturday and Sunday, and even if I had spare time on Sunday it wouldn't matter because they didn't have it that day, which made me sad.

Oh, and for some reason I keep leaving out the parts where I run into Thierry at the con.  He's a cool cat, yo.

brent-face, funny things make me laugh, metrocon, fangirlism, sis, aru-kun, pretty fictitious boys
