Well, I always wished I was taller. Maybe I should locate a noose?
Couldn't find my glasses this morning, so I had to scramble for my previous pair and wear those for the day. The prescription is really similar to my current pair, but my depth perception was so wonky. It felt like I either grew a foot, walked on stilts, or wore Spice Girls platforms the whole day. I was tripping over stairs and curbs and sidewalks all morning and afternoon, and yeah. Just weird.
Still stuck on what to write for my Fiction II class. Wrote this at the bottom of my two and a half page draft:
I'M IN DESPAIR! The brevity of this draft that hasn't gotten anywhere yet has left me in despair!
Free Yellowcard acoustic concert at my school tonight. I'm not into the music scene much at all, but first big name band performing at my college + free admission + anime club friends = I'm there. The last concert I went to, I think, was the Jewel concert in Las Vegas back in the early 2000s that M2M was supposed to be opening for, but their record label pulled them from the tour at the last minute and Sis and I got stuck like losers waiting for our favorite band to never show up. I always enjoyed the sound of acoustic music. There's a sort of melancholic beauty to them, regardless of the song's tone. So I had fun, even though it's not really my scene.
During a break between songs, the lead singer said that some UT girls invited the band to stay in the dorms for the night because crazy FSPA (Florida Scholastic Press Association) girls were trying to stalk them at their hotel. Supposedly this is how that conversation went.
Lead singer -- yeah, okay, I don't know band memeber names -- says: Only if we get to stay in the girls dorms.
UT girls say: The dorms are co-ed.
Lead singer goes: So I'm guessing there's a lot of booty calling going on in the dorms, huh?
UT girls pause, then say: Yes. Yes there is.
Yeah, good job there, girls. Making our school sound like a bunch of skank whores. I've never been more proud to call myself a student at UT.
