Who watched the (not as bad as I thought) Naruto dub at nine tonight?
I did. XD
Probably the most iffy aspect of the dub was the voices, but I'm a
pretty tolerant person, so I'll let it slide. Unless they butcher Rock
Lee (*hearts*) or Kabuto (*hearts*), then someone is going to pay.
>.<* Naruto's voice was...all I can say is "awkward." I don't
know if I hate it or like it, although I'm pretty sure most people are
shooting for the former. It'll take a little getting used to, but I'll
live. But Ebisu's voice was just...terrible. He sounded so stupid.
Thank God he's only a minor character, so we won't have to hear him
that often.
The opening sequence was sort of a letdown. Visually, it rocked; most
of the vid they used was from the second opening, which I heart with so
much lurve. The theme song, though, wasn't even a theme song. For
some reason, I was hoping it'd be some lame-arse, terrible rap like the
One Piece dub's. So shoot me,
I like the OP dub theme. (dodges rampant tomatoes from OP fans) But
hoping for a terrible/so bad it rocks dub Naruto dub theme song is evil of me, so I guess I'm fine with just weird chanting for a op theme. ^.^;;
They kept the original soundtrack! They didn't paint a bikini on Sexy
no Jutsu! They let the characters say "die," "kill," "sexy," and junk!
They edited out the gushing nosebleeding. Suck. Half the--no, most of the Sexy no Jutsu humor is the geyser of blood, and the edit killed a lot of it.
Sooo...the Naruto dub was decent. I'm pleasantly surprised. But then again, I'm a lenient judge, and I was actually weaned off the Fullmetal Alchemist dub, so...maybe my opinion doesn't count?
I'm totally not getting Heart of Darkness whatsoever. Why do all my required reading books have to suck so much desu ka?
