These people actually liked them. Only in Mexico would frat boy and sorority girl types pick the likes of Jonathan and Andrew off the road, drive them to their party spot for the night, and -- this was the kicker -- include them in the fun. Jonathan didn't think to question this anomaly. It could be the work of very real magic, or the possibility that these people were too high and drunk to care about social hierarchy. Who knew? Taking shots of questionable alcohol content until he vomited wasn't exactly his idea of fun, though. Spotting his friend standing at the end of the dock, he figured Andrew would agree.
"Hey, uh," Jonathan started. "How come you're not over there with the rest of us?" Us, which included himself. The concept took some getting used to.
Andrew looked out into the water. He didn't acknowledge his friend just beside him.
"Earth to Andrew, hello?"
"You know," Andrew finally spoke, gaze still fixed on the beach. "Those guys back there? They treat us like gods. Warren would've loved it here."
Warren, Jonathan thought bitterly. He lowered his head and stuffed his hands in his pockets. A final look at Andrew, and he walked off.
Drinking to a vomiting stupor suddenly sounded much more appealing.

This turned into a drabble somehow. Yeah I don't know. I try. ^.^;;
