Life and such
So I have been having a kinda down week. Little things are getting to me. It is that time of year. There are lots of new's and differents in our lives right now that are taking adjustment, and I think that that would be fine.... if it wasn't for the weather. I don't like the cold! and the gray days just, while I love them and think they are pretty, my body does not. I get seasonal depression. I haven't been able to go to the tanning booth yet either. That usually helps, so I am pretty sure that it is chemically related to not having enough vitamin D from the sun. All this and yet my parents still had to have me in MICHIGAN!!! I would be totally happy if we got cold and snow on Dec 23 and it all melted and was back to at least 70 on Jan 2.
STEP ONE.
Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. (This year, it's popular to have it listed on your info page.) The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.
STEP TWO
Surf around your friendslist (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. (That's why this year we suggest you list 'wish list' under your interests so folks may search.) And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it. Once a wish has been granted, it will be crossed off my list.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. LJ subscription. This is one of my new addictions and it would be really cool to be able to access some of the other features, but well I don't like adds so I haven't upgraded to the middle type of account, so it would be really cool to get a subscription
2. deviant art subscription. This is my other new addiction, or at least I wish I had more time for this one. This is where I post my photography and modeling photos and sell prints. If I get a subscription then I can make more money off my art. If you want to check it out the link is at the top of my journal.
3. A lappy. Aka a laptop. Doesn't need to be new! I am just looking for something so that Katt and I can be online at the same time and preferable something that I can make into a wireless so that I can post you all dirty updates when I am on my way back from CA in Feb :) You want updates, give me a lappy LOL !
4. art is always good, check favorites on my deviant art site for ideas on the types I like. I like fae, dragons, classic medevil stuff ect. :)
5. SCA stuff... Garb, books, fabric, etc. Everything I can get my hands on. Again I am partial to used things.
6. Craft stuff. Paints, fabric, leather, etc. All that clutter that you are sick of tripping over Let me trip over it LOL :)
7. unique items. I love things that are different. Preferably in the fantasy, SCA, or BDSM types ;)
8. shelving lol See above for reasons LOL
9. dremmel and other wood working tools. One of the many areas I am interested in :)
10. b&n gift certs, yeah I am a book addict. Or you can just send me a book that you liked and want to pass on. We like all types :)
