So, Clan. It was freakin awesome. We had a good group of people for the ride, and through conversations and movie watching, the time flew. The Harvester (from Dune) that seemed to be hunting us in the rain was kinda creepy, but starting the trend of "Hey, horror movies that start this way" "So do pornos." was good stuff.
I only fell off the mountain once, which wouldn't have been so bad except that I cannot catch myself. So, I'm going to have a new scar on my other knee to mirror the one I earned at Rakis.
I love hanging out with the Honna (obviously) and I love camping with the Dogs. Good people everywhere. With californians and canadians just below my two camps, that hill really was like looking at a chart of my amtgard history.
I was pretty grumpy about not being able to fight, especially during the Honna tourney, but next year I shall endeavor to be un-injured. I've got squire bros to beat up.
Speaking of, having my knight show up to surprise me was freaking AWESOME. Having me and Evan make Taly part of our beltline was doubly awesome. Now to make sure he talks to her knight to make the double belting kosher....
And, of course, all the CK secrets came out. GoldCrest was finally knighted (by DS, but we all knew and were making sure he got there), and the lying sneaky folks (I love them) gave me my 10th and Master Rose. In front of *everybody.* This was followed by a glorious amount of "Congratulations! You deserve it! Drink this!"
The steampunk stuff was muted but fun, the quests went off well, and I was glad to get to rob flurbs blind while playing a gambler in one, and to sing Sweeny Todd songs while selling pies in the other. I let my flurb out. It had fun.
I'm glad to be home, because I like showers and beds, but i'm already wishing I was back in the mountains.
