My friend Mistress Ellen of Charleston SC and now residing in San Diego with her slave Etienne, finally has her case resolved. I first met Mistress Ellen a few years back when I was doing Domme work in the VIP room at Purgatory. She came up to me after a scene and complimented me. As we talked she told me of her nightmare that she had recently been through with her local authorities over her being a Pro Domme. We have stay in touch off and on and her story helps a lot of people. Here's the final outcome from her slave Etienne.

As many of you know, my beloved Mistress and
Owner, Mistress Ellen, was arrested in 2004, at
her dungeon in South Carolina. After a cop came
to her house pretending to be a sub, they stormed
her house, she spent a weekend in jail, they
confiscated her computer, toys, movies, and
various other items, both professional and
personal.
Their search warrant was illegal, their pretext
for the arrest was invalid, they "lost" the wire
the cop had been wearing, which would have shown
her to have acted properly throughout the bust,
and she had done nothing illegal. They
eventually settled on a charge regarding her
website being accessible to minors (despite the
usual you-must-be-
18-to-enter warning).
Much more can and has been said about her arrest,
but I will not repeat it here, though I would
certainly be happy to discuss it with interested
parties.
The news is:
Based on informal discussions with the
prosecutor, it became clear they would drop the
case (which was unwinnable for them anyway) if
she moved out of their county. Since she had
reason to wish to move to California anyway, she
moved. Now, her case has finally been dropped.
It has been dropped without prejudice, and so can
be reopened whenever they please. We assume that
will not happen unless she moves back to her old
home.
She was allowed to recover some of the items
they'd taken. They did not return her computer
or any of her videotapes. They claimed the
computer "might contain videos." (For whatever
reason, they’re very hung up on video, even
though her charge had nothing to do with videos.)
There was also, naturally, a certain amount of
larceny (or loss, if one feels charitable) on the
part of the police. Some of her books and
equipment were not returned. Some of it was
returned but so badly mildewed that it was
hopeless. She has, however, managed to salvage
some books and some toys (including a few I may
blush to mention I have tasted since her return
to San Diego).
As Mistress is content with her life here in
California, she has so far chosen not to attempt
to pursue a wrongful arrest lawsuit, or to sue
for loss/damage of her property.
If anyone has further questions on her case, I
would be happy to answer them if I can. Should
you wish to contact her directly, she can be
