( Mini Rant Warning Below, You have Been Warned. :D )
Been very busy on WOW Too, sadly, as of late a recent out break of idiot's has made the once beloved game a dangerous area to play on. How so you ask? Are they 'noobs', moron's or perhaps some jackass and his cult who likes reporting people 24/7 for the smallest offense ( IE: Vinkar ), you ask? No, actually. It is none of the above. Recently people have taken to sending C.O.D gifts that cost anywhere from 50g to 7000g, yet once unwrapped the gift was no more than junk. That was until blizzard made it so that a wrapped gift could not be sent out. Now the idiot's send out empty wrapping paper. Add on to this with the now DAILY Whisper's and In game letters about buying in game gold cheap,( The biggest annoying site being Peons4hire.com ) and you have your selves one big headache.
Why is the happening? Because of the new flying mount, people have to work their asses off to get some peice of data that allows them to move at 280% speed, and if you are SUPER lucky, the rare arena mount that gives 310%. People are scamming, spamming, and stealing their wait to 5000g for this mount, which seems a tad unfair in price. What does this have to do with the start of the mini rant? Simple, IT'S BLIZZARDS FAULT FOR THIS HEADACHE. Sure I could quit the game, but since I don't play often it really doesn't matter. I do stand firm on that accusation though, since mount price jumped dramatically.
Lvl 40 Mount: 10g - Riding 75: 100g
Lvl 60 Mount: 100g - Riding 150: 600g
Lvl 70 Flying Mount: 100g - Riding 225: 900g
Lvl 70 Epic Flying Mount: 200g - Riding 300: 5000g
See the problem here? The extreme jump in cost? People don't want to waist time getting gold an honest way, and it has gotten so bad accounts are being STOLEN and SOLD. A friend/guild mate had his level 70 character stolen and changed to a new server and account then SOLD, all over some stupid shit like this. All I can say is People, get a EFFING LIFE. If you can't play a game and resort to childish shit like that, you really don't need to play. It's that simple.
Of course once more the company making the game can be held responsible, since they didn't follow their own rules about switching characters between accounts. The account(s) in question have to be owned by the same person. They can also be blamed for the price ( as stated earlier ) seeing as the Level 40 and 60 mount's price can decrease depending on reputation, ( and before the PVP change, Rank. ) While the flyers price remains unchanged. The even removed Wildhammer as a faction, so people ( Alliance )could not gain reputation and decrease the extreme cost.
It doesn't matter really, because I don't plan on waisting my life and time for a mount that isn't important. My complaint is simple: Drop price so jackasses will stop Spamming/Scamming and Stealing.
