4th of July weekend was pretty good. We didn't do much in the way of celebrating, but we did seem to stay very busy. Let's see, Friday night we stayed home. Well, Jason went down to hang out with my dad and I stayed home and watched TV because the baby was already in bed and I didn't want to get him up just to go down and watch Jason drink with my dad half the night. I stayed up until about 1 in the morning waiting for him to get home, but I finally got too tired and had to go to bed. He got in around 1:45. Then the baby decided it would be a good idea to get up at 6:30 Saturday morning. :D I was really really tired. We took the baby to my parents' house around 9ish so we could go grocery shopping. We went to Gamestop, then Taco Bueno to eat. Then we went to Walmart for no reason, as we didn't buy anything there. Then we ran into my parents who were taking Trent to get his pictures taken (they turned out really cute!) after which we went over to the new Circuit City to get an In Flames cd for Jason. Then we finally made it to the grocery store. We got home around 3 I guess, but ended up leaving shortly after to go to Blockbuster where we rented a game and a couple of movies. Oh, we ran into our friend Mark and his girlfriend Ally who we haven't seen in ages sinse Jason broke his phone which had everyone's number in it. He was gonna come over, but we were at Blockbuster when he came by so he left a note and called saying he would come back the next day. We didn't do anything else that night. Just played some games and watched The Pacifier which was suprisingly good. It was cute.
Sunday we celebrated the 4th at my parents' with a barbeque. Some people came out. Mark and his room mate Jared came out with his little girl Devon who is the sweetest little thing I have ever met. My cousin's wife came out with their baby. Then my cousin, Tony showed up. Which was suprising because we hardly ever see him anymore. His wife comes out fairly often, but he's usualy working and stuff. I was very happy to see him. We grew up together and have always been really close. When we were kids, I would go and stay over with him like every weekend. That was way back when I used to be a tomboy. We would play with cars and wrestle and dig in the mud and of course try to jump off of the roof of the house using a trash bag as a parachute :D We gave it a test run using the cat and a plastic grocery bag first. :-/ Anyhoo, he came out and I was happy. He got a bit drunk and kept hugging me and letting me know I am like a little sister to him. Then he made me shake hands and promise I would drive out to see his new house this weekend. Then, he made sure to comment on my skirt and pull it up to cover the tiny bit of my tummy that was showing "so none of those guys will hit on you." It was a pretty good day. Yesterday, I had to go do all of the laundry. Then, we went to my parents' house again where Jason proceeded to get more than slightly toasty on wiskey chased with coke. I went home around 5. He followed about 30 minutes later and cooked some ribs on the grill which turned out very good despite the volume of alcohol that he had consumed.
Now, here I am back at work. Things are slow today though so it's not too bad. I noticed a couple of days ago that Jason and my dad are very slowing merging into the same person. They are so much alike. Too much alike for me. Jason has taken to drinking the same wiskey as my dad. Ack! so disgusting. They're like best friends or something. It's so weird. They always hang out drinking and playing video games for hours. They played co-op Halo 2 ALL DAY yesterday. Now, I love Halo, but they were both obnoxiously drunk and very lound and thus, I was pretty annoyed. The thing that I think is the most odd....my dad has somehow become a big Nine Inch Nails fan. :-/ That's odd. Not that I mind, I'm a huge NIN fan....it's just odd. It makes me shiver a bit. Not because he likes them. Just because it shows how much Jason is rubbing off on him and vice versa. Creepy.
Well, I don't have anything else to talk about right now. Plus, I gotta budget out my upcoming paycheck and get some work done. Muah!
XOXO
