I see what you did there.
This weekend I was reminded of how my sister Sandra, and I used to work together at times. How we would buddy up on the same team when it came to fending off the adults. However, as the adult in this present-day situation, I didn’t very much like it.
Abrie must have called me about 15 times this weekend. I am not exaggerating. Anyway, she has been going on and on about how I haven’t bought her a birthday present. Her birthday was December 19th. I jokingly stated “Well, I’m gonna get you the same thing I got Catalina.” She asks, “What’s that?” I respond “Nothing.” Then she got off the phone and proceeded to text me repeatedly that she was sad and that I hurt her feelings. Lord Jesus. I eventually just called her to let her know that I am indeed buying her and Catalina birthday presents when they come visit for Spring Break. But she was still being a toot. She took forever to say anything and when she did, she used a soft little voice and uttered “I’m sleeping”. In the background I hear a tiny voice say, “Hi Tia!” That would be Catalina, she always says “Hi Tia” when Abrie calls me. By the way, a few weeks ago she said, “Hi Tia, I miss you.” and I about capsized. I die, I die. Anyway, back to Abrie being a drama queen. So she finally speaks and and says that she’s “sleeping” but in an unexpected turn of events, Catalina is handed the phone and in her cute 3 year old voice she says “Tia, Abrie tired. She call you back.” Like what? Have my sweet baby girls evolved into Drama Queen and Minion? I was like “Uhhhh, okay. Thanks, Cati”. I shook my head and laughed and later told my sister “Your girls are now working together, AGAINST ME!”
But you know what? That’s okay. 😊
