So for the 4th I went to Hilary's to watch the fireworks in the shopping center. That was pretty fun. Two of her friends that I don't know real well were there. So we set off some fireworks and toasted marshmallows in her yard till the fireworks started. Then there was this old guy hanging out of his car in a bright American flag shirt blasting soft rock patriotic music to go along with the fireworks and dancing his ass off. Omfg. But Ingram has some nice fireworks and we didn't even get shot. XD
Then yesterday was the dreaded driver's test. Well I can tell you that I've literally been on edge for a month about this and now that I've taken it I'm seriously worried that that's all that needs to be completed for a person to be allowed to operate a vehicle. Good lord.
So basically my gram picked me up at quarter to nine, and my cousin Jay came along. Uh, what? My cousin is 14 and pretty much just like my brother. So great start there. I was pretty pissed about it, but I was too nervous to really function so I sort of tuned him out.
My tester was a nice older lady named Joy. After I demonstrated I could use all my signals and whatnot we proceeded to the site of the perilous parallel parking. The first time I was a bit too far away and bumped the curb, but that was okay since I didn't go over it. So I pulled out, got closer to the marker and got in perfectly. Once that was over I was pretty sure I was gonna be okay. The course consisted of driving up a street, changing lanes, turning and going down a residential street, up to a railroad crossing, back down the street and into the parking lot again. She explained what I needed to watch for, passed me, and we went back inside and had me wait for my license to print.
Apparently since I had an ID made when I was 17 they used that photo for my license for some reason I'm still not sure of. It's a 4 year old photo and it's good for another 4 years. So it'll be kind of weird when I'm 25 I guess lol.
Today I spent my day finishing the last case on Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Holy crap it took forever. My patience was at zero by the end of it. But I know one thing: Phoenix and Edgeworth are OTP! X)
I gotta work tomorrow. I'm still kind of nervous about driving by myself. But I'll get through it. And I have to wait for my insurance.
